Job description

In Heura we are food activists and we want to take out animals from the food equation. We believe technology brings us the chance to build a food system that solves our current challenges and answers to our values.


Your main duty will be to build the global growth strategy (the Heura playbook for conquering markets) by applying a strong analytical method and coordinating with the various business units and departments.

Being strategic

Status quo is not enough: in order to build something better we have to imagine the right future and build a structure that gets us there. You are responsible for gathering together the right inputs for envisioning the future of plant-based and shaping the present from there, not the other way around. Your vision will have to be embodied in a specific growth strategy.

Act as a hub between R&D, Comms, Sales, and Trade Marketing

Marketing is the brains of the company. It processes all external and internal information and makes sure the various departments execute according to the growth strategy. The Marketing Department will have to provide all the intelligence and advise all the other departments to ensure that they respectively execute in line with the identified opportunities and challenges.

Build and develop a holistic, winning portfolio

We envision a portfolio of meat successors that people want to eat every day (superior taste), can eat every day (excellent nutritional values) and can afford to eat every day (mass product). It will be your responsibility to build a portfolio that responds to this vision, not only locally but also at a global scale. Innovation can’t stop.

Identify and develop co-branding opportunities

Our holistic solution can be built both internally and through external brands that allow Heura to grow faster and reach new targets. You will have to find these opportunities and tackle them together with the Sales Department.

Build and develop an amazing, high-performance team

Talent is magnetic, so getting and retaining the best talent will be crucial to creating a dream team in the Marketing Department. Your role will be key to developing a high-performance team that is aligned with our values by providing continuous feedback.

You are a member of the management team, which means that you are a role model for both your team and the whole organization. You have to lead by example according to our values.  

Requirements

We would love to meet you if you:

  • Care about our mission and take it on as a “personal” problem to be solved professionally.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role in marketing within the FMCG industry, ideally in the food industry.
  • 2+ years of experience in a global marketing role.
  • Strategic, analytical, and customer-centric.
  • You rely on your methodology to understand the big picture and build the corresponding plans.
  • Flexibility and the ability to survive in an ever-changing structure. Flexibility to operate in grey areas that have yet to be assigned to a particular department. A pure team player who is perfectly fine with co-ownership.
  • Curious and innovative, always looking for the best alternative or solution to every challenge.
  • Forward-thinking: you anticipate opportunities and challenges.
  • Activator: you make things happen today, not tomorrow.
  • Ability to be a Business Partner, thinking about the whole company and not just the Marketing Department, therefore considering the impact, cost, and advantage of every decision.
  • Strong leadership skills for hiring, developing, and improving the marketing team.
  • A problem-solver with a constructive mindset and the ability to take any idea or challenge and turn it into a real project.
  • Growth and “do it WOW!” mindset.
